The Olpe Eagles began Saturday’s Class 2A consolation game with a 10-0 run and led by 24 points at halftime, routing Pittsburg-Colgan, despite a furious third-quarter rally by the Panthers.

Colgan (19-7) outscored Olpe 23-9 in the third quarter to cut the Eagle lead to 10.

But Olpe responded with a 12-0 run to start the fourth quarter to quash the rally.

Olpe (22-4) got 17 points from Joe Redeker and 16 from Bo Krueger to lead the way, while Colgan’s Austin Commons scored a team-high 12 points.
