A Topeka man has been identified by the Kansas Highway Patrol as the driver of a box truck that collided with a tractor mowing a ditch Tuesday morning on Interstate 70.

According to a KHP report, Halston Puett, 20, was driving the 2002 Ford box truck west on I-70 near mile marker 317 just before 9 a.m. when it went off the road for an unknown reason and hit the tractor. Puett was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center for injuries that officials on scene said they believed weren’t serious.

The tractor driver, 40-year-old Myron Sessions of Alma, suffered a possible injury, according to the report. He was not transported to a hospital.

Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
