A strong first half kept the Wildcats afloat in their 71-68 win over Ness City.
Moundridge outscored the Eagles by six in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 41-33 lead. Ness City made it interesting in the fourth quarter and outscored the Wildcats 19-13, but Moundridge held just enough of a cushion down the stretch.
The Wildcats were led by senior Daniel Ratzlaff with 22 points. He was backed up by Ryan Lorimer and Tyler Kaufman, who each posted 13 points. Colton Frazier, a sophomore, was also in double-figures with 11.
The Eagles were led by 6-foot-2 senior Colin Foos, who scored a game-high 31 points. He also posted seven rebounds, three blocks, two steals and an assist.
