Deb Nauerth has been hired as the new principal ofWoodrow Wilson Elementary.
Nauerth, in her first year as an assistant principal at Amanda Arnold but with 16 years of education experience, was introduced during the school board’s meeting Wednesday. She is a product of USD 383, referring to becoming principal of Woodrow Wilson as “coming home.”
“That’s where I went to elementary school, it’s where I did my student teaching, it’s where I did my master’s field placement,” Nauerth said about the school. “The doors kept calling me back and they’ve called once again.”
Nauerth is replacing Eric Koppes, who is leaving in June to become the principal at Rock Creek Junior/Senior High after five years at Woodrow Wilson.
