Nelson has big game in Packers’ win



The Green Bay Packers got another big week out of former Kansas State wide receiver Jordy Nelson.

Nelson caught eight passes for 122 yards and a touchdown in the Packers 30-20 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Rob Jackson made two tackles and a half sack in the Washington Redskins 27-23 loss to the New York Giants. Brandon Banks got into the action on special teams, returning one punt for 12 yards.

The New Orleans Saints defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-28 in a battle of former K-State players.

Darren Sproles had five carries for 27 yards and caught four passes for 32 yards for the Saints. Josh Freeman went 24-of-42 passing with 420 yards and three touchdowns. Freeman also rushed two times for 9 yards for the Buccaneers.

The Arizona Cardinals lost to the Minnesota Vikings 21-14, but William Powell got a little more action this week. Powell had four carries for 13 yards and caught one pass for 5 yards.

Terence Newman had four tackles for the Cincinnati Bengals 24-17 loss to Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night.

The Tennessee Titans got two tackles out of Zac Diles in a 35-34 win over the Buffalo Bills.
