Neils makes U.S. Senior National rowing team

Andrew Neils, a 2003 graduate of Manhattan High School, has earned a place on the 2014 United States Senior National rowing team.

The Senior National team represents the USA at the highest level of international competition, either at the Olympic Games or the World Championships.

In June, Neils’ 4-man crew finished first in the national lightweight men’s quadruple scull trials in West Windsor, New Jersey.

Neils, who rowed at Bucknell University and has been rowing at the Riverside Boat Club in Cambridge, Massachusetts for many years, and his crew will be representing the USA at the 2014 World Rowing Championship to be held Aug. 24-31 in Amsterdam, Holland.

The World Rowing Championship in Amsterdam is the premier world rowing event of 2014, attracting more than 1,000 of the best international rowers from more than 60 countries.
