To the Editor:

This letter is to publicly thank and express appreciation to Nancy Knopp for her 26 years at Mercy Regional Health Center. Through her position as the director of Care Management at Mercy Regional, Nancy provided invaluable assistance, support and resources to families in our community during difficult times.

One mission of Mercy Regional is to provide “quality, compassionate health-care services.” Nancy’s service epitomized this mission through her outstanding work as a social worker and inspiring leadership in her department.

Nancy created innovative and resourceful programs for the hospital that were designed to help provide the highest possible quality of care to patients and families.

In addition, Nancy’s service was demonstrated through her dedication and commitment to the Mercy Regional Health Center Auxiliary. She was willing to give her time on evenings and weekends to the auxiliary and its events for the purpose of raising hospital funds and promoting the hospital mission to our community.

Our community has benefited greatly from Nancy’s valuable and meaningful contributions. Thank you, Nancy, for your willingness to serve our community in an exemplary manner.
