Multiple vehicle burglaries at apartment complex

RCPD officers arrested or detained three suspects early Wednesday morning for multiple vehicle burglaries at the Winston Place Apartments and police suspect there are more victims who have not come forward.

Lt. Josh Kyle said that dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 1:30 a.m. Wednesday that several individuals were looking into cars parked at 3116 Winston Place and that when officers arrived on the scene they stopped a vehicle leaving the area.

Kyle said that after an investigation and the seizure of a significant amount of property suspected to be stolen, the following suspects were arrested or detained: Ethan Wilson, 17, 5124 Shadowridge Dr., Tanner Humphreys, 19, Colorado Springs, and Khiry Graham, 21, Colorado Springs.

Kyle said officers detained Wilson for three counts of vehicle burglary and curfew violation. He was released to his parents. Humphreys and Graham were both arrested for three counts of vehicle burglary and one count of contributing to child misconduct.

Three residents of the Winston Place Apartments were listed as victims on the police reports, but based upon the quantity of the property seized, Kyle said police believe there are other victims who have not come forward.

He advises anyone in Manhattan, particularly around Winston Place and the 2900 and 3000 blocks of Gary Avenue, who believe their car has been burglarized to call the RCPD at 785-537-2112.
