A three-vehicle pile-up occurred on K-18 about 2.5 miles west of Manhattan at approximately 6 p.m. on Monday. Three people were taken to the hospital.

According to officials, Andrew King, 21, Ogden, driving a 2008 Honda, was stopped in traffic because of a minor accident ahead in the road when he was struck from behind by Charles Beltz III, 48, Junction City, driving a 1984 Maserati.

Beltz was in turn struck by Emily Lynn Stephens, 25, Dodge City, driving a 2008 Dodge.

King, along with two passengers, including a 1-year-old child, were taken to Irwin Army Community Hospital for possible injuries. Officials reported that his passengers were Meghan King, 21, Ogden, and Carter Royster, 1, Ogden.

Beltz and Stephens reportedly were uninjured.
