Missing person reported

A Manhattan woman reported her mother as a missing person Saturday after she told police that she has not heard from her mother, who was in Hawaii, since September 19.

Lt. Josh Kyle said Benita Richards, 63, 1417 Beechwood Cir., was last seen on Sept. 2, when her daughter, Allison Wisdom, who lives at the same address, drove her to KCI airport, where Richards had a flight to Honolulu.

Kyle said Wisdom told police that Richards was job-searching in Honolulu and that she stopped receiving social media contact from her mother after Sept. 19.

Wisdom contacted police in Honolulu, who told her to file a report with her local agency first.

Kyle said an information report has been filed.
