Midwest Stix wins three divisions

The Midwest Stix baseball teams all went undefeated last weekend.

At the Hays HBA NBC kids’ baseball tournament, the 14-and-under and 13-and-under teams each won their respective divisions.

On Saturday, the U14 team beat the Hays Stampede,9-1, and the Hutchinson Yellowjackets, 8-2. The U13 team beat Junction City Brigade, 10-0, and Lexington Dirt Devils, 13-5.

On Sunday, the U14 team beat Spearville Wind Dawgs, 16-3 and then defeated Hays Braves 10-2 in the championship game. The U13 team beat Central Kansas Hornets 7-6 to win the title.

The 10-and-under team beat Wamego at the Salina Slugfest, 7-2, and then beat the Salina Royals, 10-0, and the KDC Cougars, 7-0. The U10 team took gold with a second win over Wamego, this time 8-2.

The U14 team consists of Chase Brown, Talon Claussen, Cade Creed, Dalton Engle, Thomas Gevock, Tyler Halstead, Jalin Harper, Ethan Kaus, Carson Marsh, Ty Nelson, Easton Rindt and Cooper Schroeder.

The U13 team includes Zach Cox, Carson Zenger, Ty Clark, Baylor Wilkey, Cole Herpich, Andrew Rogers, Jack Currie, Derek Shaheen, Bubba Wilson, Luke Richards, Thane McDaniel, Josh Bussman and Weston Claar.

The U10 team consists of Cade Perkins, Grant Snowden, Jack Campbell, Camden Foltz, Stewart Scott, Jonathan Wefald, Alex Boyle, Coy Cavender, Grayden Jackson, Kyler Hahn and Avery Haus.
