MHS soccer players honored



All-state and All-Centennial League teams were announced this week, with several Manhattan Indian soccer players honored.

Among all-state honorees, midfielder Jonathan Turnley and forward Eric Gray were named to the first team, with forward Peter Maier named to the second team and midfielder Matt Liotta earning an honorable mention.

Gray, Turnley and Maier were each named to the first All-Centennial league team, with Liotta, goalkeeper Alex Richt and center back Adam Gray all named to the second team.

The Indian soccer team wrapped up its best season in school history, finishing as state runner-up with a 16-4-1 record.
