MHS JV beats Hayden

The Manhattan High JV soccer team defeated Hayden 5-1 Tuesday at Anneberg Park.

The Indians scored three times in the first half — Austin French with an assist by Kodi Minocha; Michael Cossey unassisted and Brandon Religa unassisted.

In the second half, Cossey scored with an assist by French, and Jaden Cady scored unassisted. Hayden scored with a few minutes left in the game.

MHS outshot Hayden 9-1. In goal for the Indians were Casey Hoffman, Sachin DeYoung and Wes Whitney.

The JV is now 6-1-1. Next up is Topeka High on Thursday at Anneberg Park.
