The Manhattan High boys’ golf team has a busy week to close out the regular season.
The Indians started a stretch of three tournaments in three days on Monday at Emporia, taking second place. They play at Junction City today and at Lawrence on Wednesday before taking the rest of the week off prior to regional competition on Monday at Junction City’s Rolling Meadows Golf Course.
In Emporia, Pierson McAtee led the way for Manhattan, taking second place overall with a 78. Dylan Gros was fifth with an 81.
Scott Woods shot an 84, with Drew Casper (91), Will Grogan (93) and Cole Gritton (99) rounding out the scores.
Manhattan shot a 333 to finish in second, 12 strokes behind first-place Seaman. Shawnee Heights finished in third with a 353, with Junction City (355) and Olpe (358) rounding out the top five.
Seaman’s Jalen Heald took medalist honors with a 77, with teammate Mason Wages in third with a 79.
