MHS girls pull away late against Trojans

TOPEKA — It wasn’t always easy, but the Manhattan High girls’ basketball team managed to pull away from Topeka High and preserve its undefeated mark in Centennial League play with a 45-30 win Friday night on the road.

Manhattan used an 11-0 run in the third and fourth quarters to pull away from the Trojans in a game that stayed close for most of the first three periods.
