MHS girls down Chargers, 60-17

The Manhattan High girls’ basketball team stayed undefeated in Centennial League play while extending its current win streak to 11 Tuesday night in a rout of Topeka West, 60-17.

Caroline Ballard scored 16 for the Indians, with Darby Price adding 13. Eleven girls scored for Manhattan in the lopsided win.

The Indians led 30-0 before Topeka West’s first points, which came in the second quarter at the six-minute mark.

Topeka West was led by Alex Tyson’s nine points.

Manhattan travels to Shawnee Heights on Friday.
