By The Mercury

The Manhattan High football team recently elected new captains for the 2012 football season.

The future senior football players annually elect captains and this year chose Cameron Garwood, Wyatt Charlson, Logan Clark and Jacob Holloway.

The MHS coaching staff will also conduct several camps throughout the summer. The 10th-12th grade camp will be May 29-June 1 from 7-10 a.m. The ninth grade football camp will be on the same dates, but will run from 9:30 a.m.-noon.

In addition, the high school staff will host a camp in conjunction with Anthony and Eisenhower Middle Schools’ coaches for seventh and eighth graders. This camp will also run from May 29-June 1 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. These camps will be held at the KSU grass practice fields on College Avenue.

The camps for elementary students will be held later in the summer. A camp for second, third and fourth graders will be July 16-17 and a camp for fifth and sixth graders will be on July 19 -20.
