After a poll at number 2 behind Wichita North, the Manhattan High boys’ cross country team is back at the top of the coaches poll after back-to-back wins at the Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., and at Rim Rock in Lawrence.
Wichita North, which took fourth overall at Rim Rock, fell back to No. 2 behind the Indians. The MHS girls’ team checked in at No. 5 in Class 6A.
Both Wamego teams stayed in the 4A rankings, with the girls’ team at No. 6 and the boys at No. 3.
In 3A, the Riley County girls’ team checked in at No. 7.
The Frankfort boys’ team was ranked No. 3 in 1A.
