MHS alum attends North Carolina

Nathan Doubek Phillips of Manhattan has been accepted into the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Public Health in Chapel Hill, N.C.

This fall, he started the two-year executive master’s program of Healthcare Administration.

The program will allow Nathan to be a health care CEO, consultant or lobbyist.

Nathan graduated from Manhattan High with honors. He received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

Before starting this graduate program, Nathan worked as a biochemist for Identigen, a private industrial food safety company that originated in Dublin, Ireland with a North American branch in Lawrence.

Nathan is the son of 67th District state representative Tom Phillips and Dr. Debra Doubek Phillips of Manhattan.
