Meyer earns Big 12 honor

Kansas State’s Mitch Meyer was named the Big 12 Player of the Week on Monday, in announcement by the league office.

Meyer his .538 (7 of 13) with a double, two home runs and nine RBIs in four games last week. The junior outfielder from Stillwell helped the Wildcats boast a Big 12-best team batting average of .401 last week. His nine RBIs also helped K-State score 51 runs last week.

In 14 games this season, Meyer is hitting .275 (11 for 40) with three doubles, two home runs and 16 RBIs.
