McDonald won’t play

It may be opening week for college football, but back-up tight end Andre McDonald will have to wait at least another week before he can step onto the field. The 6-8 junior was arrested and served a five-day jail sentence recently for a probation violation for Manhattan’s dangerous dog ordinance.

When asked what his status is this week, Snyder said he would not play Saturday.

“We have to get him some friends, other than dogs,” Snyder quipped. “We’re working diligently on that. He has suffered some consequences and continues to suffer some consequences.”
