MCC women win two

The Manhattan Christian College women’s basketball team came away with a pair of victories this past weekend — an 89-38 thumping of Ozark Christian on Friday night and an 85-30 rout of Calvary Bible on Saturday.

Junior Kori Zarzutski came off the bench lead the Crusaders with 23 points on Friday night. She was 5 of 10 from behind the arc. Sophomore post Libby Witte added a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds.

MCC had four other players with 11 points each on Friday night.

The Crusaders had five players reach double figures on Saturday, led by freshman MeShelle Parke’s 20 points. Sophomore Leah Barger had five assists, while Witte and Kendall Reynolds hauled down eight and seven rebounds, respectively.

Manhattan is 19-3 on the season and remains undefeated in conference play.
