MCC women win two games in Dallas

The Manhattan Christian College women’s basketball team traveled to Dallas last weekend and won two games.

On Friday, the Crusaders won a hard fought game over Dallas Christian, 56-47. MCC trailed 30-19 at the half. Libby Witte opened the second half with three offensive rebounds for scores in the first two minutes.

The two teams battled back and forth for most of the second half. Then with three minutes to go, MCC took control of the game for the win. The Crusaders held Dallas to 16 points in the second half.

MCC then defeated Southwestern Adventist University 70-32 on Saturday. The Crusaders jumped to an early 18-2 lead and never looked back.

The Crusaders extended the lead to 39-14 at the half.

MCC had solid contributions from all 13 players in the game.
