The Manhattan Christian College women’s basketball team defeated Central Christian of Kansas 91-62 on Tuesday night in Manhattan.
MCC took a 14-point lead in the first half. The last four minutes of the half saw Central rally and reduce the lead to four. MCC finished the half leading 40 to 36.
The Crusaders took control in the second half by scoring 51 points to Central’s 26.
Guard Sarah Wenger led MCC with 19 points. Lindsey Anderson, Brittany Shaklee and Kaylan Fagley all scored in double figures for Manhattan. MCC freshman Libby Witte grabbed 10 rebounds and point guard Kaylan Fagley dished out seven assists.
Central’s Brooke Rhodes had 20 points in a losing effort.
MCC record is now 7-2. Manhattan travels to Omaha Friday to take on sixth ranked Grace University.
