MCC wins two

The Manhattan Christian College men’s basketball team finished off its regular season this past weekend by picking up a pair of regional victories against Central Christian College of the Bible (Moberly, Mo.) on Friday and Baptist Bible College on Saturday.

MCC defeated Central Christian 74-52 behind Alex Hammack and Sage Ruis, who scored 18 points apiece. Josh Camacho added 11 points.

The Crusaders beat Baptist Bible 96-82 behind 22 points from Ruis and a double-double from Will Chisam, who had 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Manhattan is now 20-8 on the season and 5-1 in the NCCAA Central Region. The Crusaders are tied with Grace University and a coin flip will be held to determine the top seed in the Regional tournament in Omaha on Feb. 28-March 1.

MCC will play this weekend in Moberly, Mo., at the Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament as the top seed.
