The Manhattan Christian College men’s basketball team defeated Union (Lincoln, Neb.) College on Tuesday 106-83.
Union got off to a strong start and opened up 19-15 lead. However, MCC responded with a 17-0 run to go up 32-19. From there, the Crusaders never looked back.
At the half, MCC led 54-43, and then cruised in the second half to the victory.
Freshman Sage Ruis led MCC with 29 points, going 7-of-9 from behind the arc. Lonnie Penner added 17 points, while Kevin Foster scored 13. Josh Camacho finished with 11 points.
With the win MCC moved to 14-9 on the season. MCC will be back on the road Friday as the Crusaders travel to Joplin, Mo., to take on Ozark Christian College in a matchup of the only two teams undefeated in Midwest Christian College Conference play.
