MCC volleyball wins two

The Manhattan Christian College volleyball team came away with a pair of victories over the weekend to win the Midwest Christian College tournament in Belton, Mo.

MCC defeated Calvary Bible College 25-10, 25-14, 25-20 and then handled Ozark Christian College 25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23

All-Conference awards went to Carrie Pilkington (sophomore middle hitter), who was named All-Conference first team.

Mackenzie Denver (freshman outside hitter) was named to the second team.

Tiffany Willbanks (junior defensive specialist) earned honorable mention honors.

Paige Mortensen (junior setter)  was named the tournament’s Co-Most Valuable Player along with her teammate Kylie Rupe (junior outside hitter).

The Crusaders will host the NCCAA Div. II Central Regional Tournament Nov. 1-2.
