MCC volleyball wins conference tournament

The Manhattan Christian College volleyball team traveled to Haviland to participate in the Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament.

MCC entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed and undefeated against conference opponents.

MCC had a bye the first round, then defeated Central Christian College of the Bible, the No. 5 seed, in three sets in the second round. On Saturday, MCC defeated Faith Baptist Bible College, the No. 3 seed, in four sets to take the conference tournament.

Several MCC players were awarded All-Conference Team awards as Kylie Rupe was named the MCCC Most Valuable Player, Paige Mortensen and Alyssa Strain were both named First-Team All Conference, Kayla Hawkins was named Second-Team All Conference and Carrie Pilkington was named Honorable Mention All Conference.
