MCC splits with Dallas, St. Louis Christian

The Manhattan Christian College baseball team ended its weekend series with Dallas Christian and St. Louis Christian, splitting games on Saturday with the schools.

The Crusaders beat St. Louis 11-1, but lost to Dallas 11-7, with a late comeback falling short.

Zack Burrow had three hits and two RBIs for MCC against St. Louis, while Bryan Kloppe had three RBIs. JJ Floyd took the win on the mound.

The Crusaders scored three runs in the first and one in the second, before adding four runs in the third and three in the fourth. The game ended after five innings due to run-rule.

MCC trailed Dallas by as many as 9-1 in the second game before scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull within four runs at 9-5. Dallas added two runs in the top of the sixth and a rally from MCC in the bottom of the seventh was cut short at two runs.

Mike Foster and Kloppe had two hits apiece, and David Colip drew three walks.
