The Manhattan Christian College men’s basketball team suffered a tough loss in the regional tournament this past weekend, falling to Central Christian College of the Bible, 48-44.
MCC trailed 18-13 in the first half before closing the half on a 15-6 run to go into the break with a 28-24 lead.
Central continued its hot play in the second half, while the Crusaders struggled to shoot the ball.
MCC trailed 41-33 with less than six minutes to go in the game, but a 9-2 run saw MCC tie it with about 1:30 to play.
However, down the stretch, MCC could not come up with any plays to get over the top, missing several close shots, while Central hit enough free throws to pull out the victory.
Sage Ruis led MCC with 16 points. The Crusaders finished the season 22-9.
