MCC men defeat Calvary Bible College

The Manhattan Christian College men’s basketball team went on the road Tuesday night and defeated Calvary Bible College 82-54. 

The Crusaders got off to a fast start as they opened the game on a 22-0 run. 

Lonnie Penner scored eight points to lead the way during the opening surge.  At halftime MCC led 35-17. 

In the second half, MCC was able to stretch its lead to as many as 34 points, before settling for the 28-point victory. 

Sage Ruis led all scorers with 18 points and Penner added 14 points for the Crusaders, who saw 13 players enter the scoring column.

MCC has now won three games in a row and improved its record to 10-8 overall and 3-1 in conference play. 

The Crusaders will be on the road this weekend, as they travel to Joplin, Mo., to take on Ozark Christian College on Friday night and Central Bible College on Saturday in Springfield, Mo.
