MCC can’t stop Doane in 24-8 loss

The Manhattan Christian College baseball team dropped a home game to Doane College on Wednesday, 24-8.

It was a game that the Crusaders led 4-1 after the first inning, but they trailed 8-4 after the second, and 11-5 after the third.

MCC scored runs in the fifth and seventh innings to finish with eight runs on 10 hits. The Crusaders also struggled in the field with seven errors.

Trey Shelton led the way offensively with a double and two RBIs, while Zack Burrow and Jesse King each had RBI doubles. David Colip had a solo home run, and J.J. Floyd and Mike Foster each had an RBI.
