Mary Jo Tracy, 81, of Manhattan, died Sunday at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan.

She was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Topeka. She was the daughter of Clyde A. and Flo R. (Tutt) Gleason.  She graduated from high school in Denison.

She was a member of the Denison United Methodist Church.

In August of 1950 she went to work at Kansas State University in facilities as a secretary, retiring in 1980.  From 1988 until 1993 she worked for the Manhattan Association of Realtors.

Mary Jo enjoyed reading, listening to Elvis, K-State sports, traveling with husband George to his bowling tournaments and Elks Conventions, and loved to watch the New York Yankees on TV.

On Jan. 4, 1953, in Manhattan, she was married to George S. Tracy.  He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2005.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home with the Rev. Amy Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.
