Riley County officers arrested a 28-year-old man Tuesday on a warrant for a 2007 rape that allegedly occurred in Manhattan.

William Yankey, a K-State visiting assistant professor of interior architecture and product design, was arrested at his residence, 1825 Colorado St., for allegedly raping a woman on Dec. 8, 2007. Capt. Kurt Moldrup said the woman was in her early twenties.

He said the incident occurred in the northwest part of Manhattan.

Yankey was released from the Riley County Jail on $50,000 bond.
