Facing Highland Park on the road, the Manhattan High football team won in a rout, 63-6 on Friday night in Topeka.
Just as it did in the previous two victories of the season, the Manhattan defense was solid all night, holding the Scots to just six points while scoring twice themselves.
Junior Mike Settembrino scored twice on special teams to help pad the lead against the Scots.
Offensively, Manhattan kept it vanilla against Highland Park and built a sizeable lead by halftime.
Leading 36-0 at halftime, Manhattan continued to build it in the third quarter, scoring on a pair of short-field drives after an onside kick attempt to start the quarter and a long punt return by Settembrino on the following possession set them up with short fields.
On the third possession of the half, the JV got in on the action and finished out the game.
Manhattan plays Topeka West at home next Friday at Bishop Stadium.
