Man stabbed at lake

By The Mercury

A 23-year-old Manhattan man was stabbed at a lake on Sunday after a fight about the volume of the radio.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing reported to have occurred at Pottawatomie County State Lake No. 2, 8010 State Lake Road in Manhattan at around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury in Manhattan, according to a report. The victim reported to deputies that he was involved in a fight with a white male.

Authorities said the victim didn’t know the suspect, but the suspect was upset because the victim had his radio turned up too loud. The suspect is described as a white male, between ages 16 and 18, about 6 feet tall and 170 to 180 pounds with curly blond hair, wearing a blue or green shirt.  The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office did not immediately respond for further details about the crime.
