Man reports seven stolen guns

Riley County detectives are looking into the theft of several guns from a Manhattan apartment Sunday.

Officer Matthew Droge said Eddy Sanchez, 23, reported his guns were gone when he came back to his unlocked apartment at about 4 p.m. Sunday. He told police the theft happened between 9:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.

Droge said the following guns were taken: a Walther P22 handgun, a Sig Sauer patrol rifle, a Smith and Wesson M&P handgun, an AK-47 rifle, a Springfield 1911 45-caliber handgun, a Sig Sauer P250 pistol and a Mossberg 500 12-gauge shotgun.

A 22-caliber ammunition box and several magazines were also stolen.

Droge said the estimated loss was $7,020.

He said no arrested have been made and police are investigating possible leads.
