Man reports patronizing prostitute after failure to pay

Riley County detectives are investigating a possible prostitution case after a man reported that he feared retribution after failing to pay a hired prostitute.

Sgt. Brad Ingalls said the 23-year-old man, who is listed as being homeless, hired a 19-year-old prostitute out of Topeka from an online site.

But, Ingalls said, he was unable to pay her $400 following their session.

The two reportedly met in a friend’s trailer at the Redbud Estates, 2500 Farm Bureau Road, between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m. Wednesday.

While no arrests have been made, detectives are investigating the report.
