Man injured in stabbing

A man was arrested in connection with a reported stabbing Saturday night in Junction City, police said.

Roberto Pedro Carlos Mendiola, 23, of Junction City, was arrested Sunday on charges of aggravated battery following a report at 8:56 p.m. Saturday that a man had been stabbed during an altercation, according to a report from the Junction City Police Department.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of 1030 Cedar Drive. The victim, Randy Gonzalez, was transported to Geary Community Hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to his abdomen. He was treated and released, police said.

Mendiola is being held without bond pending his first appearance.
