Man arrested for videotaping woman

Riley County officers arrested a Kansas State University student on Friday for allegedly videotaping a woman known to him without her knowledge.

Officer Matthew Droge said William Reed, 20, 1005 Thurston St., Apt. A, was arrested after a 20-year-old woman, also a K-State student, reported Friday that he allegedly had videotaped her, using his cellphone, in the bathroom of his apartment.

The woman reported the crime at 10 a.m. Friday. Officers arrested Reed shortly thereafter.

Reed, a sophomore in business, was arrested for breach of privacy/eavesdropping and released on $7,000 bond.
