Man arrested for past warrants

A 19-year-old man arrested Thursday morning for allegedly driving without a license, was also discovered to have an outstanding Manhattan City Court warrant for failure to appear on original charges of DUI, no driver’s license, no proof of insurance and MIP.

Lt. Josh Kyle said an officer approached Ivan Cruz Carrasco Onofre, 19, Blue Springs, Mo., around 7 a.m. Thursday after the officer observed him driving and allegedly acting suspiciously and found that he had no driver’s license.

Kyle said the officer arrested him after Onofre reportedly gave multiple aliases. He said Onofre’s true identity was discovered through fingerprinting.

Kyle said that Onofre was given $2,500 bond for Thursday’s arrest and had a $750 bond on his outstanding warrant.

But, Kyle said, Onofre will remain confined to the Riley County Jail after Kansas City ICE officials put a hold on his name.
