Police arrested a Texas man Saturday on battery and firearm charges after he was accused of pointing a gun at a family member during an argument.

Paul Stauffer, 56, Richardson, Texas, was arrested for aggravated battery, criminal possession of a firearm, aggravated assault and domestic battery, after, Officer Matthew Droge said, police were called to a residence in the 2200 block of College Avenue at about 12:10 p.m. on Saturday.

Droge said that Richardson allegedly brandished a firearm during an argument with two family members and pointed the gun at one of the victim’s heads. Officers recovered more than one gun after they were called to the residence, Droge said.
