Man arrested for attempting to flee

Around 2:15 a.m. Friday, a police officer noticed someone driving fast and crossing over lanes on Bluemont Avenue, according to RCPD Lt. Michael Quintanar.

The officer pursued the driver, later identified as Daniel Arnwine, 31, 920 Fourth St. A second officer observed the vehicle traveling at high rates of speed and “turned on his lights and followed,” Quintanar said.

He said Arnwine then turned north on Juliette off Bluemont and right on Kearney before stopping in the 300 block of that street.

Arnwine was arrested for fleeing and attempt to elude, driving on a suspended license and obstruction of legal process. He was released on $3,000 bond.
