A Manhattan man is in the custody of the Pottawatomie County Jail after authorities arrested him on drug and other charges following a routine traffic stop Sunday night.

Officer Matthew Droge said Richard Jackson, 39, 914 Osage St., was arrested in the 400 block of East Poyntz Street at about 8:40 p.m., after officers pulled him over for a minor traffic infraction.

Droge said that after an on-scene investigation, Jackson was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while revoked.
