A Manhattan man was arrested for domestic battery, assault and endangerment Wednesday after he allegedly drove his vehicle into another car during a domestic dispute.
Sgt. Brad Ingalls said Isidro Martinez-Banuelas, 31, 2500 Farm Bureau Road, Lot 119, was arrested after police were called to the parking lot of El Tapatio, 2605 Stagg Hill Road, at about 6:30 p.m. for reports of a fight in progress.
Ingalls said a 29-year-old woman, who has a domestic relationship with Martinez-Banuelas, reported that he drove his vehicle into her car while she and two children-an 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl-were in it.
Ingalls said the dispute was in relation to a failed child exchange and had begun in City Park, before Martinez-Banuelas reportedly followed the victim to the restaurant’s parking lot in his vehicle.
Ingalls said there were damages to the vehicles, but nobody was injured.
Martinez-Banuelas was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated endangering of a child.
He is confined to the Riley County Jail on $25,000 bond.
