Man accused of Dara’s robbery to appear

A man arrested in connection with a November armed robbery at Dara’s Fast Lane convenience store has been scheduled for a status hearing.

Travis Bowman, 23, was arrested on aggravated robbery and felony theft charges after a Nov. 20 incident at the convenience store, 1816 Claflin Road.

According to police, a robber demanded money from the store clerk and stole the cashier’s 1995 Chevrolet pickup.

The vehicle was located later on Tuttle Creek Boulevard.

Bowman appeared in Riley County court via webcam Tuesday for a review hearing in front of Judge William Malcolm.

His next status hearing will be 1 p.m. on Feb. 25.
