The Manhattan Arts Center will present an exhibit titled “the Art of Architecture” Jan. 12 through Feb. 16
The exhibit, organized by KSU Prof. James Jones, with assistance from Prof. Dragan Simic, a specialist in structural systems, focuses on the artistic side of area architects. It is sponsored by BHS Construction.
Works by professional architects, KSU professors and KSU students will include sculptural units, photographs, paintings, drawings, architectural models and more.
Instructors from the university who will participate are Katrina Lewis, Judith Major, and Michael McGuin (photographs), James Jones (paintings/models), Nathan Howe (materials), and Chris Fein (furniture).
Additional KSU architects submitting works are Vibahari Jani, Kimberly Page, Toni Chelz, Rick Forsyth, F. Gene Ernst, Fayez Husseini, Gary Coates, and Ray Wiesenburger.
A number of community and area architects as well as other collegiate students will be involved.
The Manhattan Arts Center galleries are free and open to the public Monday through Friday noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 1 to 4 p.m.
