Louisville man arrested on drug charges

Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Garnett Cease, 35, of Louisville, Kansas, on Thursday for possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cease was arrested after Pottawatomie County deputies responded to a report of an individual in distress.  According to a report from Sheriff Greg Riat, while the officers were investigating the call, they noted a strong odor they believed to be an illegal drug. 

The deputies searched the residence with consent and found an unspecified amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Cease was transported to the Pottawatomie County Jail and was released on a $5,000 bond.
