Local man named NAIA scholar-athlete

Peter Ramundo, of Manhattan, has been named among the 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Peter runs cross-country for Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Mich. He is a junior and majoring in history.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Peter is a 2010 graduate of Manhattan High School. He is the son of Bruce and Rosemary Ramundo.
