Local author publishes first novel

G. Jean Smith of Junction City has released her first novel, “Never Ending Dance.”

The self-published title is currently available online at Amazon in paperback and Kindle format, Barnes and Noble and Books-A-Million.

Smith arrived in Kansas in 1999 and lived on Fort Riley until 2003 before settling in Junction City.  She left her job on Fort Riley in 2012 to pursue her lifelong dream of writing a novel.

“Never Ending Dance” follows Catherine Cannon’s quest for the answer to one question: Will I dance ‘til death? Catherine, tired of a lifetime obsessing over every twitch or stumble, decides have genetic testing to see if she carries the debilitating, deadly Huntington’s disease gene.

She is forced to not only bare her soul, but to confront her haunted past head-on.
